Kanaksaila, a Unit of Porosh Eldercare Pvt. Ltd., owes its physical existence to the tastefully designed home where the legendary Management Guru Late S.K. Chakraborty (IIM Calcutta) and his wife Chhanda Chakraborty till their last days.
It is worth-sharing an anecdote. At the time of bhumi poojan a fistful of soil from the panchawati of Dakshineswar was used for laying the foundation stone and havan at the time of grihapravesh was performed by Late Swami Yuktananda of Vivekananda Nidhi. Naturally, the home offers an intensely serene and spiritual vibe. 
It is in Prof. Chakraborty and his wife’s memory that it has been decided that Porosh should dedicate this dwelling in South Kolkata as an Elder Care Home.
Kanaksaila means ‘Mountain of Gold’!
